A visit to a second-hand bookshop
When I go into Stockholm it’s almost always with a dedicated purpose like some business with my printer Stan at Proimages or to catch an exhibition I want to see before it’s too late. Shortage of time is the rule. Sometimes though, I have the opportunity to dedicate a whole day to photographing when I just walk around the city with my messenger bag loaded with film and cameras. On such an occasion this last summer I happened to wander into a second-hand bookstore where I found this 800 pages biography on Jackson Pollock by Steven Naifeh and Gregory White Smith. Its been lying around since then, but I hope to dive into it this upcoming Christmas leave.
Like Frank Zappa once said: “So many books, so little time”.
